Farrelly & Co October Recap: Colour Trends, Team Highlights & 2026 Bookings
A Look Back on October ’25 at Farrelly & Co
What’s Trending: Podcast Spotlights & Colour Conversations
October gave us space to explore colour in more depth. We joined Tanya Neufeld Flanagan on The Interiors Podcast to talk about why neutrals stand the test of time, the colour trends we see coming for 2026, and how we approach choosing paint for every space.
We were also delighted to hear Trigg, our signature warm off-white, highlighted during a Newstalk FM segment about creating hallways that feel both bright and welcoming. Trigg really is a team favourite - subtle without being bland, warm enough to lift a space, and versatile in Irish light.
On the Ground - Bringing Colour to the Ideal Home Show
One of October’s highlights came courtesy of James McNamara of JMC Studios, one of our trusted colour consultants. He led the setup for the DFS stage at this year’s PTSB Ideal Home Show, choosing Jetty as the feature colour. If you saw it in person, you’ll know why - Jetty is a showstopper: dramatic, grounding, and effortlessly timeless.
A selection of Farrelly & Co shades also featured on the benches by the stage, adding depth and texture to the setting - a fitting backdrop for the weekend’s design conversations.
Prep & Paint for the Windows We Love
Windows might be the unsung heroes of Dublin interiors. From classic timber sash and bay windows in period homes to sleek modern casement, every window type comes with its own quirks. Getting original windows right means scraping old paint, filling gaps, and sanding the frames so everything’s smooth before we even think about colour.
But if we were to think about a colour that stands up to the Irish weather, a crisp white or soft neutral paint can make your space feel larger and brighter, especially if you’re working with narrow Georgian panes. Darker window frames highlight the shape, add contrast, and bring a sense of cosy drama in living rooms or home offices. At the end of the day, it’s the finish and prep that matter most for keeping details sharp and the space flowing naturally.
